Standing on holy ground

For me, our missionary experience in India to open the bicentennial year can be summed
up in four words: standing on holy ground,
-the holy ground of Agra where I entered into the experience of Mother St. Therese and
her companions on their arrival and where I stood among them in their final resting
place;
-the holy ground of our sharing of the provinces — their origins and foundations, their
early and current struggles and challenges, their accomplishments and future hopes;
-the holy ground of what we hold in common — our shared concerns for the present, our
dawning realization and appreciation of our inter-connectedness, and our desire to be
daughters of Claudine, filled with zeal, for God’s mission in our time.
