Bicentenary JM in Argentina and Uruguay

On this October 6th we opened the Bicentennial of Jesus and Mary and we held four regional celebrations.

In the morning, students and staff representing the schools of Buenos Aires, Pablo Nogués and Bella Vista, and Centro Claudina Thévenet gathered at “Colegio Jesús María” of Florencio Varela. There, they held the mass and then they formed groups to share their experience in JM.

In Uruguay, a delegation of students from Montevideo’s school went Cardona’s school and they share the mass that was held in the Parrish. After lunch, students of 5th and 6th form of both schools took part on different games. The meeting ended up giving thanks for these 200 years in the place of the miracle that allowed St. Claudine canonization.

During the evening, the schools of Cordoba and La Calera organized a festival for all the families. Students organized stands showing the countries and cultures where JM is. There were music and drama shows. Finally, they celebrate the mass that was presided by Mons. Carlos Ñáñez.

The religious communities of Corrientes and Chaco gathered at the Centro Comunitario Tres Isletas (Chaco). During the mass, children acted the parable of the Good Samaritain.

We are very thankful for this opening and we feel so much closer to so much people that over the world live St. Claudine’s charism and are urged to make Jesus and Mary known and loved.
