On the occasion of the Bicentenary Celebration of the Foundation of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary, the Pre-Primary Section (SSC & ICSE) of Convent of Jesus and Mary, Kharghar, celebrated the Annual Day on Saturday, December 9th 2017. The theme for the day was:

» Claudine – Model of Love and Forgiveness».

All the Sisters of the Community and Miss Louisa Peters, Supervisor of the Primary and Pre-Primary Sections, graced the occasion as our Guests. The entire program was dedicated to our Foundress – St. Claudine Thevenet and the Sisters of the Congregation.

The day’s program commenced with lighting of the Samai by our esteemed Guests and this was followed by a Prayer Dance performed by our ‘little angels’ expressing faith and sincere thanks to God.

The guests were congratulated with floral bouquets as a token of appreciation and love. The Sisters and Parents were then given a warm welcome by our tiny tots through a cheerful ‘Welcome song’ and a delightful ‘Dance of Joy’.

The children presented the wonderful and inspiring life of St. Claudine Thevenet through a musical skit ‘Claudine – Model of Love and Forgiveness’. The Skit portrayed the early life of Claudine, the Values instilled in her by her family and the Benedictine Nuns. The values of Courage and Faith that Claudine possessed grew stronger through the many adverse experiences in her life. These helped her blossom into a model of love and forgiveness, ‘a woman of all times’ whose influence has not ceased for the past 200 years and still continues. The story was suitably portrayed with action, songs and dances by our little ones and flashed on the backdrop through suitable images.A PowerPoint Presentation was also shown highlighting the services and ministries engaged in by the Jesus and Mary Sisters in Pune Province.

Mr. Angela – Principal of the SSC and ICSE Sections, proposed a Vote of Thanks appreciating the Show and the hard work that went into it by both the Staff and Students. The show was well appreciated by the parents who attended in large numbers. It was indeed a memorable day spent in acknowledging and praising the God of all good things. We most humbly say in the last words of St. Claudine: ‘How Good God Is!’
