October 6th 2017 was a very special day for our Congregation. We, in Sialkot, united with all our JM Communities, teachers, pupils, AFJM’s, friends and benefactors, past and present in 28 Countries around the world, in joyfully celebrating this historic event. We were specially united with all the JM’s in Agra, where our sisters were first missioned in 1842.
The Eucharist in thanksgiving and praises was the focus of our celebrations. It was followed by a very interesting power-point giving the history of the beginning of our mission in Pakistan to the present day.
A very reverential, dance movement was performed by our Pre-postulants.
Some of our pupils in the colourful costumes of the different provinces in Pakistan performed several, cultural dances with joy and enthusiasm.
All the guests were invited to an enjoyable supper on the lawn in front of the oldest building on our compound. This building, as well as our Peace Hall, the Grotto, the front of the Sisters’ Residence was very beautifully lit up with colourful lights, adding to the joy of our celebration.
We proclaim with St. Claudine Thevenet “How good God is!”. May we continue to journey with her into the future with great faith and trust in God, with courage, love and forgiving compassionate hearts.
